    Can someone remind me how to get to Dell's Diagnostic menu?

    Hi I forgot how to get to dell's diagnostic screen. I remember having to hold a button before I click the power button or something like that.

    Can someone remind me please?

    Push F12 when you first power it on and the Dell logo is displaying.

    When the boot menu appears after, select Diagnostics to start the Diagnostics.

    Wrong.... it is fn+power key. Hold them together for a moment until the laptop starts.

    No, I'm correct, holding F12 on the 1645 allows you to select the Dell diagnostic. Would have helped if the OP indicated he was talking about a specific laptop.
