I have a brand new xps16, running wonderfully.
I've modded the desktop Catalyst 9.4 drivers, games perform well, better than the provided Dell Catalyst.
What I would like to do however, is be able to alter the GPU clocks. Not by much, just a little.
I've tried AMD GPU clock tool; but this does not let me fix new clock values for the ATI 3670. I enter a new value, and they revert to the default right away.
I have tried altering clocks with Powerplay turned off, as is apparently the best way - still no success.
Any suggestions welcome![]()

with our ati cards 8.10 is the last driver that let you over clock try those
-
I don't want to roll back to those drivers, they perform poorly compared to the new Catalyst 9.4.
I've even tried Rivatuner, but no joy with this either, I can't seem to get access to clock speeds.
Has anyone had success OC'ing the 3670 with newer catalyst versions? -
I know one guy with a Studio 15 who managed to get the AMD GPU Clock Tool to work with the ATi 3450, using a modded Catalyst 9.2.
-
if you find that 9.2 lemme kno shroom so i can try it .... i have tried alot of drivers
-
There's a thread on it in the Inspiron and Studio forum section. Towards the end is the discussion of the 9.2 drivers working, and links to download it.

Were there any significant changes in 9.2 > 9.4 - I may just stick with the most recent since they seem to be performing well.
In any case, I might abuse the ability to overclock - I don't want to fry my Studio XPS 16. -
I don't there's anything of particular significance between 9.2 and 9.4. Then again, I'm still on 8.6, which is as new as Dell will let me go on my 1535. -
My problem is that I can't access the GPU clocks with this version of Catalyst installed. -
That's why I suggested 9.2. I know that someone has had success with 9.2, but I don't know anybody who's managed to adjust clocks with 9.4.
Can't alter GPU clock with ATI GPU clock tool
