This is the only driver I failed to install/upgrade. Well, it didn't fail, but nothing happened either.

Talking about this one. My current version is 6.1.7600 something, yet when I try to upgrade it, it goes like extract > accept > finish. There's no process of installing, yet it tells me I installed it successfully. And when I check back, it's still the old 6.1.7600.

    Anyone help please?

Not exactly sure, but I thought it was only recommended that you install the manufacturer's driver because Dell customized it for optimum performance.

6.1.7600 is the current Windows 7 version.
It will change to 6.1.7601 once Service Pack 1 is installed (released 22nd feb)

Your looking in the wrong place for your chipset driver version.

Look in device manager under Universal serial bus controllers.
