i cant seem to get fullscreen on the monitor using 1920x1080p but if i lower the resolution to 1680x1050 it works full screen on the monitor but not full screen on my XPS. I think the problem is in the laptop setting as I used a friends samsung monitor and that didnt go fullscreen either. My old Hp dv9500 did not have any problems with the fullscreen.

Open ATI CCC... Go to Desktops and displays, right click your monitor and click configure, go to scaling options.. make sure overscan is set to 0%.

I tried to fix my black bar issue this way, but the "Enable GPU Scaling" section is grayed out in my CCC. I'm unable to change it. And when I go to scaling options and slide the slider all the way to the right (0% overscan) I end up with the edges of my screen cut off! If I position it near the right end but not on 0%, I can minimize the black bars to ~5 pixels, but everything is still being scaled, so text looks crappy. Any ideas how I can enable the "Enable GPU Scaling" option in my CCC?
