    Hi guys,

My charger had failed and I needed to work with my Dell XPS M1330 laptop so I used a similar one, but then it stopped charging, I smelled something burning and I saw a little smoke coming out of the laptop.

I used the service manual to disassemple the laptop but I cannot find anything burned. Is it possible that after some time it will work again? What would you guess that is burned and I have to substitute? The motherboard? The laptop worked until its battery run out, however it would not charge...

    Thanks a lot,
    Nikos

Thankfully you weren't hurt or otherwise it could've been a litigatable issue.
