Hey guys, when you go onto this website:
https://mozillalabs.com/blog/2010/03/contacts-in-the-browser/
and scroll down the to bottom / footer. Do you see a flickering on the black background?
Weirdly enough its not on all dark backgrounds, like maximizing photos on flickr I dont see it.

No flickering for me. I'm posting from my ThinkPad T410 however.
-
Well taht doesnt really help me, coudl anyone with a xps 1645 rgb screen test?
I also found this website to flickr a tiny bit.
It seems much more with res 1920... -
i have a sxps 1645 and no flickering for me
-
I used to get a lot flickering on: http://www.asian-club.de/album.php?albumid=11507
But after I installed the latest ATI drivers and set the color to reactivate ATI Color controls and its gone for the asia website.
But I still get some flickering at the bottom footer - need to scroll down (dark background with diagonal lines) of the screen on the left and right. ( https://mozillalabs.com/blog/2010/03/contacts-in-the-browser/)
You really dont get anything at all? not even a tiny bit? -
Try increasing display brightness.
-
when u say try increasing display brightness.... you are away this is a issue?
btw my display brightness is at the maximum, u mean the fn button on the xps?
or the brightness in the ati panel? -
I'm not, but i heard over certain issues whit flickering backlighting on low brightness whit the studio 15 1080p displays (wled).
-
Ok, well thanks for ur answer. You dont have the RGB Screen do u?
-
I don't see any flicker there on my RGB. Tried at min/max brightness, no difference.
-

That's the place I look.. no flicker. Also changed my colour profile back to the standard (way too blue), it didn't create any flicker.
So colour profile or brightness doesn't change anything for me at least. If of any interest, I'm still using CCC 10.12.. might update later on but I can't see this making a difference (we're not the only ones with RGB so hopefully someone else can comment if they're using 11.1). -
Can you send me your color profil? Because it seems that the ones I was using caused the problems. One made both pages flicker a lot.
-
Please I need more people commenting on this....
There def is some noticable flickering for me.. -
I notice flickering only at max brightness on my wled.
-
i created this site:
Test Dell RGB screen HTML
used teh same backgroudn image. now u should see... -
I use the mid-brightness one from this link.
http://forum.notebookreview.com/del...-16-1080p-rgbled-settings-48.html#post5838480
Also tried your link above and if it flickers, I can't see it. But like I said, I also tried with normal ICC profile and it didn't flicker so I don't think the profile makes a difference. -
thats weird that u cant see any kind of flicker. i mean its not over the whole screen but in some areas....
Its kinda dark in my room so i might notice it more than you... ? I need some other people commenting on it. -
My XPS 1645 with RGBLED screen has no flicker at any brightness level.
-
I see a little flickering. Though it looks like my eyes are playing tricks on me.
I have a Dell Studio XPS 1640 with a WLED screen -
Check this website for screen flickering, XPS 1645 RGB, do you have the same?
