device manager > display adapter > video card > right click > driver version..

Or u can check in nVidia CP too....

Or simple, Start > run > msinfo32 > components > display and u can see all info in the panel on the right

Nope, your driver is 175.97 the last 5 digits from that series of numbers you posted.. its the driver version (which is always the last 5 digits)

first why do U wanna roll back? these are pretty good..

Anyways, if u wanna roll back,

device manager > display adapter > video card > right click > properties > driver > roll back driver....

If the roll back option is grayed out, then u have to download 174.74 fresh and install...

hmmm yeah probably.. But u might wanna browse through / read through the laptopvideo2go forum' as well.. there are some drivers thats performing well for games (sorry cant remember which because there are quiet a few)... Also check here in NBR with the game name and "driver" you might hit some nice informative posts..

Though I must tell u that one driver might be good for some but not for others.. they might give rise to new issues, albeit small, annoying ones :) just to keep u informed.. so try out a few (if I were you, I would go with either the OEM drivers or the popular ones).. :) Good luck.

Finally you might wanna check the drivers for geforce 8600m GT on xps m1530 thread here in NBR... its in the dell XPS forums :)
