We're testing Cisco AnyConnect which is their replacement solution for VPN. They've never done a 64-bit client for Windows and have no intention of doing so. The AnyConnect solution looks to be their future solution for all platforms.

I was able to get it to work on Windows XP x64 and Windows 7 x64, the latter on my Dell XPS M1330. I think that this solution requires specific Cisco hardware and software in the router so it's not going to be a solution for everyone. For others with 64-bit Win OS', you'll have to stick with using a VM.

    Or an alternative VPN client....

I had no problem using "NCP Secure Entry Client" on Windows 7 x64.

The situation with Cisco really isn't very helpful, but then not really unexpected.
