Sorry to keep posting, but I think I am about to buy an XPS and I just wanna check a few minor details.

Are all the Dell Wireless cards bad, or just the n-type?? By default, the XPS comes with a 1395 802.11b/g Mini-Card - is this okay?

Is it really worth me paying an extra 20 for an intel N-card? Or is it just nonsense that will have little to no impact upon my connection?

It doesn't improve much, if anything at all.

Also, if you're not satisfied with the wireless you can always change the card yourself - it won't void warranty and it's really easy to do.

Do you have a wireless N router? If not then go with the Dell one.

    thanks for the info...

I think I will just do it and buy the system. The problem is, the more you research something the more problems you find... but every laptop I have looked at has had problems, so I think i will just go for the XPS as it seems the best.

the intel 5100 is not worth the upgrade, but if you're referring to the 5300 it is. better range and speed.
