    Hi,

I´m kinda confused between these two screens.I own since one week the XPS15 501 with the FHD B+RGLED display.
But now I was thinkin to send it back and get the XPS17 3D but it has "only" the FHD WLED display.
I can say that I love the display on my XPS15 it´very bright and very colorful actually it´s a difference between night and day compared to my last laptop (Samsung X-420 with LED screen) therefore I´m afraid that the WLED screen would be not as good as the B+RGLED.
How big/significant is the difference in quality (if there´s one) between these two screens?
I´ve searched here on the forum and on other sites and I´m not gettin wiser.
Some say the B+RGLED is better, others say it´s the same technology with a different name and so there is no difference.
I would love to see in person both displays side by side, but if any of you guys could provide pictures, it would be very helpful.

    regards

    Janis

WLED uses a blue led with a yellow phosphor coating to make white

B+RGLED uses a blue led with a red and green phosphor coating to make white (still a single led like other WLED displays)

RGBLED uses three separate LED's of red, green and blue to make white.

The B+RGLED actually rates quite good, most people agree that the RGBLED is better, but the B+RGLED is also usually considered a step above the standard WLED. Yes it still uses one LED and phosphor coatings to make white similar to the standard WLED, but the bi-color coating has a superior color gamut to the single color coated WLED panels.
