I have the first generation XPS 1640, the one with the ATI 3670, and was wondering what kind of cable I would need to get it connected to my TV.

That said, it's not a HD tv (so a HDMI cord won't work). I need some kind of VGA to RCA cable.

Easy enough to find, but I've encountered some user reviews of these cables saying something along the lines of: " Please remember that this cable will only work with VGA devices which can be configured for component video input".

So does the 3650 have this capability? Can I simply plug and play it into my "old" TV?

You can always get an adapter cable but the 1640 doesn't have an S-video so it won't be a walk in the park

Well what would you suggest I do so I can connect it to a tv with no real digital inputs?
