Does anyone know how properly to connect XPS 9550 and Dell P2715Q 4k @60Hz.

So far using all possible combinations I managed to connect them just at 30Hz, and this is simply irritating and it hearts my eyes and brain :)

XPS 15 does not have Displayport output, while its HDMI output is 1.4 (limited to @30Hz). Then I bought Dell USB-C to HDMI 2 adapter just to discover that P2715Q also has just HDMI 1.4 input, and for 60Hz I need Displayport connection... so once again I manged to connect them @30Hz. Additionally this adapter causes many other problems (it is simply not tested product, problems with drivers, firmware, vertical lines on the screen...), so I returned it.

The problem is I cannot find any adapter USB-C Thunderbolt 3 to Displayport.

Is it possible that at the moment there is no way to properly connect Dell's best laptop withe their best screen? I am trying to do this for about a month now, I bought all sorts of cables and adapters, but nothing works :)

You don't need USB-C Thunderbolt 3, just get USB-C to DisplayPort adapter.

    Thanks.
I was searching for this, but unfortunately, seems that such adapter is not yet available in Switzerland (I just checked again), but this time it is at least available for preorder.
I will order it from abroad. Its seems that it is not so easy to get this kind of cable/adapters at the moment.

I found on the internet several people with same problem, and they all had to go with 30Hz at the end, so I thought this kind of adapter does not exist...

Be careful with the adapters you buy. Most of the thunderbolt (USB type c) to display port adapters are only 4K 30Hz.

Some company just released one that does 4K 60Hz. Be sure to look for that.

    That is true.

This one that I linked and ordered now is 4k @60Hz, I think I can trust Google store :)

    Finally!
After two month I managed to properly connect my XPS 15 and the screen!
As mentioned, I am using this cable:
    https://store.google.com/product/usb_type_c_to_displayport_cable

The connection was not so simple, first there was no image on the monitor, although computer could see the monitor. Then I changed resolution to 1080, and I finally got the picture. Then I was able to access monitors menu and set MST to OFF. After that it started working 4k@60Hz, although first computer crashed with BSOD, then scaling was wrong, but after few restarts now finally everything works fine, and it is really great to have so nice image and proper refresh rate!

@AM Radio How's the adapter performing? Is it issue free?

@AM Radio Thanks for the heads up. Sadly couldn't find one other than the one you linked to.
