    Ok so i have been looking around and i can't find a decent answer so someone please let me know. Is this possible? is the s-video slot on this laptop an input?? if so i have bought a HDMI cable and a HDMI to DVI adaptor. I have connected them but i don't know how to switch the display on the M1710. Thanks

    You can't. That's a DVI-output, not DVI-input.

    You need a tvtuner or video-capture card with no lag for you to be able to play on your computer. And then it won't be High-def. Or digital-
