I have a Polaroid tv, tla-01511c if it matters, and I was wondering if it should be possible to either display my monitor on the screen and/or expand my screen to the tv. I have it connected via hdmi atm and have cycled through the different display options but the tv keeps displaying "Not Support!" I know it's sending some kind of a signal because when I turn the projector screen modes off it displays "No signal!"

Is it possible to use the tv or is it having problems because it wasn't meant to be used at a computer monitor? Is there a work around for it?

    Thanks

When I restart the tv, nothing different happens. When I restart my computer, the dell loading screen and windows logo appear on the tv but it cuts out when I reach my desktop

I got it to work. What I had to do was go to control panel>appearance and personalization>display>screen resolution.

But I still don't get why it works when I raise the res or lower the res above/below the native resolution for the tv, 1280x800. It even says that is the recommended resolution but that's the only one that doesn't work. Is there a good reason for that?
