Just out of curiosity, does anyone know of any means to contact Dell to talk to someone about resolving a malfunctioning laptop other than through tech support? I keep getting the runaround with them and feel like my warranty will be long expired before any resolution will occur.

I've had parts replaced and my system sent in and whenever I call, I end up wasting 2 hours of my life while they test all the same things with no luck at finding anything.

Basically, I am pissed off and need someone with authority to complain to.

    Thanks

Just use the Twitter. Those people won't be able to help you at all.

    The emails do help.
I sent one to just Michael Dell, and had an exucutive customer support representitive ring me to handle my case personally.
It all worked out fine after that.

Ditto on the email to Michael Dell. Had a call from executive customer support within a few hours and my problems were taken care of within 24 hours.

The tech support people are nice and all, but it seems like whatever you say goes in one ear and out another. No matter how many techs in a row I get, they all want to do the exact same thing already tried by the previous one.

The regular reps just have no power and are told to script everything. Pretty much any company you deal with you need to go right to supervisors that actually have the power to do things beyond the scripts.
