I've been using 'Core Temp' monitoring on all my computers for a long time but occasionally I'll start SpeeFan since I have it laying around, but by default Core Temp starts automatically whenever my laptop is turned on. I don't know what's more accurate but whenever Core Temp is on, my temps never go above 60c, all 4 cores are fluctuating between 48c-55c average.
When I start SpeedFan, the temps suddenly reads 60C-65c, and the cores averages around 55c-60c, then go as high as 70c! Now when the two is on and comparing side by side, my temps has gone up to 60c average as appose to only 48c-55c with only 'Core Temp'. Is anybody here running SpeedFan with these problems?

When I tried running speedfan the fans would always run at full speeds until I closed it.... have you noticed anything similar?

^^By default, Speedfan activates when the temps reaches 65c-70c and it blows on/off/on/off/on/off therefore my laptop is running hotter than usual. There is a way to adjust all this but I shut the program off for now and use CoreTemp instead.

Core Temp still on beta version ?

^^I don't think so, Core Temp 1.0 RC-3 has been out for a few months now.
