My xps m1530 meets my standards, except I noticed that in recording 1080x1024 in the dell webcam manager the frame rate is a paltry 2-3 frames per second. Is there a driver update to improve the speed and not make it look like I'm in slow motion? Or is the video camera just subpar?

Try the Live! Cam Center software direct from Creative, it should give you more options

The software may be an improvement, but I'm wondering if at this resolution of 1080x1024, the camera has only the capability to record at 2-3 frames per second? I'm assuming this has to do with the camera not my system as it is 2.4ghz with 8600m gt, 4gb ram

It's pretty bad, as far as I can tell. I get fairly low frame rates under all lighting conditions.

i'm soooo confused with everyone saying the cam is bad, my camera is abs brilliant and provides wow pictures!

The camera is not bad but it is mediocre. Then again, so is every other notebook-bound web cam.
Couldn't be happier with my xps m153o, but does webcam/camera just suck?
