Where does it say that the P7350 is "rated" at 3.3GHz? It's a 2GHz chip as your first figure implies... and unless you overclock it, you aren't going to get more than 2GHz.

makes sense since a core 2 duo is basically 2 core processors running, right?

Back when they first started making dual-core chips, some people considered a 2GHz dual-core a "4GHz" chip. In an ideal world, 2 cores at 2GHz would be the equivalent of one of those cores running at 4GHz, but in the real world, performance doesn't scale that way.

I'm guessing that site has it's own rating system that compares processors to each other or to the requirements stated, so you cannot just say "oh, so and so processor is rated at 3.3GHz, right?", because this is not a universally accepted metric.

That's odd. I ran that test on my M1530 2.1 Ghz T8100 C2D.What it says depends on what game you select.

For WOW it says: You Have: 2.09 GHz Performance Rated at: 3.4485 GHz
For Crysis Warhead it says: You Have: 2.09 GHz

Apparently, if it passes the test you get the high number. If it fails the test you get the actual number.
