    Hi
Last night I let my younger sister use my m1530. She says she didn't spill on it or anything but today when I went to use it, some of the keys, mainly the asdf keys are crackling when I type and sometimes I can't even push down the s key. I was going to take the keyboard out to see if I could clean it but after taking out the screws from where the battery sits, I can't manage to take off the control cover. Anyone know how to fix these keys or whether Dell will send me a new keyboard under warranty for this?

It sounds like something was spilled and unless you have an accidental damage warranty I don't think Dell will cover this.

Sounds more like she may have dropped a crumb of food under it rather than liquid. If it's crackling and there's real resistance to the key being pressed there's probably something solid under there.

yes sound like some food other stuff that has gone under the key board. If that happens sometime you cannot press the keys as it comes in the way. Yes try to air can or flip the laptop and shake lightly it may com out what ever is there.
