Hello, I tried to search the problem related to mine but could'nt find anything.

I've just bought a Dell XPS m1710 laptop and I formated it to my taste. The reinstallation was a breeze.

However, my 2D graphics of my windows applications are showing weird and deformed. They looks like edged, especially in the taskbar and in IE7. They look fine in Firefox and no problem in games.

I have the latest Geforce drivers for my GF7950 GTX.

Any idea what is going on?

    TIA

You might need to adjust your DPI settings under Control Panel/display

OK thanks it defenitly something with the DPI settings, it was set on 125 and set it back to 96dpi.

The only problem now is the fonts are very small, I have the display to the native resolution of 1920x1200.

any way to fix this? or I would only bring my old problem back?

Increase the font size in the display properties.
