    Hello,

I've just bought 2 sticks of 2gb ddr3 1333mhz dual voltage 1.35v/1.5v (Crucial CT2G3S1339M) to upgrade my Dell XPS l701x. It looks like it works fine (total 8gb of ram), I did the windows' memory test and no errors. But what I dont understand is the original 2+2 gb rams work on 1.5v and the crucials on 1.35. So, I contacted the Dell support and they sad I should change the voltage settings but there is no voltage settings in bios of my computer (phoenix a08). Do you have an idea how I can resolve this?

    Thanks in advance

The l701x doesn't support running memory at 1.35v. The memory will run at 1.5v and you do not need to change anything.

Thanks for the information Commander Wolf but I use CPU-Z to check things and it's written in the section SPD, timings table that slot 1 and 2 (original memory) work on 1.5v ; 3 and 4 work on 1.35v (you can see screenshots below). Am I misinterpriting ?

Pretty sure CPUZ is wrong... half the time it doesn't actually "measure" anything and just displays metadata provided by the components.
