    Try laptopvideo2go -
    178.24
    179.14
    180.43

In that order, though its not really the drivers thats the issues, its the graphics card you have.
Peresonally running 180.43 OC'd @1280*1024 I get about 39-40 fps in medium graphics, no AA, I think this is about as good as its going to get on this system, if you want better then get a desktop or upgrade to something with at least an 8800m gtx

And what is the difference from running it at 1280*1024 as oppse to the 1400*900

Did you try any of the Crysis Tweaks i see online...such as this one..

    Tapping the CVAR settings..

    http://www.gamecritics.com/the-noobs-guide-to-optimizing-crysis

For me personally, i don't know how to backup the files they are asking to do in that tweak. It's a bit confusing for a newb like me..

Simple, download rivatuner, download a temperature monitoring program too, something like http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php

I'm running a 1920*1200 non native so that slight difference in size makes no difference in appearance.
I'd imagine as you have a 1440*900 you'd see the image much clearer and and defined, but your performance might take a hit.

    As regards editing files -
Nope I didn't, but the game already runs very fluid (all levels) on the laptop so I didn't see any need.
bty its not that scary a thing to do, just follow the tutorial you posted, worst case scenario if you wrote something incorrectly would be to re-install the game.

As low as possible ideally. I'd check what your current tdemperatures for running the game are before I'd start thinking about overclocking. If they're normal whilst gaming, lets say around 60-70 for the graphics card I'd consider it, if normally or overclocked your card starts going 80 ish I'd stop overclocking, if its 80 ish nornally I'd start worrying.

Monitor your temps in crysis on normal settings first. You are attempting to run your laptop faster than what it was supposed to go at, so precautions need to be taken.

Extra heat is probably the most dangerous part of overclocking, you can fry your gpu if you push it too far and let it get too hot - hence monitior temperatures. Monitoring temps on normal settings gives you an idea of what they should be.

Also the cooling system of the laptop is already crap so that doesn't help.

You'll want to keep an eye on the temps as you overclock.
In rivatuner, when you open it up there a box called 'driver settings' click on the tab beside 'customise', click the first box in the line - looks like a graphics card, and there you go.

Also if you click on the other box (the one above driver settings - main page of rivatuner) click the tab beside customise, - click the last box (looks like memory chip)
    it'l open a monitoring window.

would the best driver now be the one available from Nvidia's site for notebooks?
