Hey Gang,
I keep getting a ctmbha.dll error when starting up. When looking at the properties of the file it looks to be connected with a Creative Media file which I no longer have on my Dell XPS 1240m.
Any suggestions on what to do and ow to solve this issue??
Also, I am in search of a new anti-virus/spy-ware software... I used to have Avast which seemed to be adequate but logged alot of memory (I have 2 GB of RAM). I recently tried AVG but it totally bogged down my system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Cheers

u cud try cleaning up ur registry with any registry cleaning software out there or run scandisk....however i use Uniblue Registry Optimizer and had plucked out Norton Windoctor from Norton Systemeworks which does the job of fixing missing files, extensions, etc....I wud advise to use Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0....it is simply the best, have tried all antiviruses till date except Zone Alarm....
for spyware exclusively....u cud install Lavasoft Adware 2007....its free version allows full scans but not realtime protection....
I dunno how vista works....but in XP in the RUN command type msconfig....go into the services menu and check 'hide all microsoft services'....and go through if there is any service related to this dll file(if u find it stop it)....similiarly after doing that goto the startup menu and check for any startup program related to this dll and uncheck that....
i think this dll file is from a software made by creative....maybe u uninstalled some software or driver related to it....
