I have a Studio XPS 1340 which has served me excellently for the last two years. However I'm planning on giving it to a family member, and will be looking for a new dell laptop to replace it. Does anyone know what the current equivalent dell laptop for the 1340XPS would be?

The new laptop would need equivalent performance of:
    Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.40GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce 9500M (GF 9400MG + GF 9200MGS), 160MB dedicated

I also need the laptop to have:
dual video output for two external monitors. (After asking about dual-monitor output for a while I've come to the semi-conclusion that any laptop with a dedicated video card can do dual output, however I'm not sure if this is absolutely true).
USB 3.0 ports - future proofing.
    13"-15" size

    Would be good to have:
    better res/quality screen than 1280x800

Except they discontinued XPS 14 already. You're best bet is probably the HP Envy 14 or the ASUS N43JF, but finding something in 14" that has anything but a 1366x768 display will be difficult. The XPS 15 (with the 1080p display) is worth a look if you don't mind going larger.
