    Hi
Im not able to get my express card slot to accept any card.
Im also facing some serious issues.
Have spent 8 days with little or no sleep and feel if anybody can help me the guys on this board can.

    Here are my issues.
My laptop is out of warranty.

    a. Battery wont charge cant re-flash bios. Can somebody get me a comand line switch to by-pass the bat check part.
History: They replaced my MB and the battrey it worked for 3 days and then stoped working.

    b. Express card wont work.
History: Before Vista Crashed and I re-loaded everything it worked. Then after a fresh re-load it wont work. I have this feeling that it has something to do with the INF files. Have tried those from the Dell Site. And every version from 8.x to the latest version from Intell.
I have to somehow enable Raid on the driver. But my bios only offers ATA and AHCI. Slip streamed the Intel drivers for IAHC and installed vista.
My question is shouldnt vista detect the right mode and load the drivers when Im using the Dell Install CD for Vista why do I need to F6 and load these drivers during install. Even now my device manager does not show Raid.

Other than this what Can I check to make sure my Express card is working.
When I plug in MY Life View DVB card Nothing is detected but the LED lights do glow on the card.

Even in Linux I cant detect the card.

    3. Cant flash Bios.
    It says no bat.
How can I flash the bios without a bat ?
