I'm going to purchase a M1530 tonight from DELL UK but I have a few questions.
DELL UK only have the choice of black/red/pink and blue, I was wanting a gloss white, why have they stopped doing white? :(
And I was wanting the LED screen but there's no option on the M1530, only M1330! Such a shame.
    Also would there be much difference between the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T5750 (2.00 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2 cache) and Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 2 MB L2-cache)? there's a £60 difference in cost!

And here's the spec and price I've chosen (my limit is £700):

    BASE Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 including Media
HARDWARE SUPPORT 1 Year Base Warranty
COLOUR CHOICE 2.0 mega pixel Camera & Tuxedo Black for CCFL Display
    LCD 15.4" Widescreen WXGA+ (1440x900) TFT Display with TrueLife™
BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION Biometric Fingerprint Reader with BLACK accent
    MEMORY 3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x2048+1x1024]
HARD DRIVE 160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
GRAPHICS CARD NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB dedicated graphic memory
OPTICAL DRIVE Fixed 8x DVD+/-RW Slim Slot Load drive, including SW
PRIMARY BATTERY Primary 9-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (85 WHr)

    Total: £759.01
    -10% discount
    Final total: £685.12.

Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

It was not as popular or Dell found it to be not profitable. No choice in that matter. Its the same for the US as well.

Yeah... many people in the UK aren't too happy about it, but the CCFL displays work fine though. There is more to the M1530 than the display thats the killer.

The main difference is FSB, which only affects your ability to multitask, which is mainly already taken care of by RAM anyway. If you often like to have many windows open on your computer, then the FSB might be helpful to you, but be because the difference in price is huge.... it really isn't worth it.

Its available for the 1330 only in terms of XPS.

There is a "Bone White" for the M1730.

Thanks for the replies.. I have a quick question..

    I decided to go for the 2.1GHz processor (800MHZ FSB 3MB cache) over 2.0GHz (677MHZ FSB 2MB cache)and 320GB 5400RPM HDD and 3GB RAM..

Would I have been better to keep the 2.0ghz processor and go for the 4GB RAM and 160GB 7200RPM free fall sensor HDD instead?

    Thanks for your time. :)
