Hi there! I have got an issue with my new DELL XPS 13 laptop. It keeps on freezing from time to time. I have now experienced very many situations when my xps 13 would just simply freeze and will not let me do anything at all. It is very annoying, I have now tired to search number of forums for the solution, but seems like many people have got same issues but nobody has came out with the solution to fix it yet. Some say that it is due to the overheating of this laptop model, but I personally do not think so. I have tried to install "Intel Burn Test utility" which would stress my machine to the maximum level and it did not freeze, I am therefore not sure at all what this issue is caused by and how I can fix it.

If somebody has got any suggestions or any information for this issue, please, let me know about it I will appreciate it. Thanks!

Try a BIOS update, that fixes it for most people.

did so, I've updated it to the latest version A07 or smth, still happens :( also forgot to say that the very second day I've received this DELL laptop, my internal hard drive got broken, I had to buy a new one and install it myself there. Worked fine but still kept on freezing :(

Utilities update could help. Just make sure your software is updated. If it still happens, returning it for a new one would be best.

Also remember to reset to default settings after doing a BIOS update. Many people forget to do that!

Mine used to freeze alll the time. It was so annoying that I was going to return it. But then bios A07 came out and the freezes are history. As always, do a clean install of windows and drivers and load setup defaults as others have recommended.
