    DELL XPS 1530 Delay

    Hi,

    I ordered an XPS 1530 from Dell On July 24. It still has not shipped and for the last 3 weeks, Dell's customer care keeps telling me their LCD Bezel is on hold. Anybody else getting the run-around from Dell on their XPS 1530? Anybody receive theirs that ordered around the same time or after? Thanks!

    Yes, I ordered 8/4/08 and was told today that the LED LCD is still backordered. My ESD is 8/28/08.

    same here. cept i ordered on june 17 i believe. it was gonna be shipped on the 15th but it was stolen off a dhl truck. haha... estimated new ship date was 21st. lcd bezel backordered. new ship date is 27th. i did manage to wrangle some stuff out of csr. try it. tell them you're mad.

    Thanks for the replies. Good luck getting your laptops. I just received an email that pushed my ESD to 9/17. The stupid thing is, I told them weeks ago that I need the laptop by end of this week for work and if they can't guarantee me it's ready, i need to cancel and order else where. They told me it was going to be ready by this week and now it's not. So, it's not just a matter of getting free stuff from this. It's to the point where I'm at a dead end.

    I ordered 8/6 and my ship date is still showing 9/2 like it always has. Haven't gotten any emails yet. Someone said they were told the LED bezels were supposed to arrive yesterday.
