Is it possible to somehow use a different keyboard that has a track point? like that on a thinkpad?
say maybe there is another dell laptop model with same size that it may fit .... do you guys think this is possible?

the connections have to be the same...
and since the new keyboard has a trackpoint, the trackpoint has to connect to some interface on the motherboard...

Pretty sure it won't work. The M1210 keyboard is unique; there isn't a compatible keyboard from another Dell (particularly the Latitudes, which have the trackpoint). If you really want to try, the D420 or D430 will be your best bet, though it will almost certainly not work, and if it does, will require some modding.

hmmm, and you guys dont know of any (older) xps like laptop that would be no larger then say a 13.3 inch that could play games well and may have a track point??
man if only lenovo made an x200 with one of the radeon hd 4xxx/3xxx mobilities and i would in heaven -

Besides the original XPS (which is a giant of a computer), there isn't an XPS notebook with a trackpoint. Period. You'll need to find a Latitude or a really old Inspiron if you want a trackpoint on a Dell machine. Even then, there isn't really a 13" Latitude with graphical power equivalent to that of the M1210...
