    Hi all.

In the recent 2 days, I had to deal with Ubuntu, which I installed on an external hard disk. I also installed the Nvidia graphics driver for the 8400M GS, which I downloaded from Nvidia's site.

I'm quite tired right now but could make an interesting observation the last 1/2 hour: In mean, the GPU temperature is delta_T = -10°C lower (in comparison to Vista)! This value comes from the Nvidia properties panel! My impression is also that the fans are less working.

Could it be that the M1330 runs cooler under Ubuntu in comparison to Windows Vista? Is there somebody who has made same observations?

    Cheers.

PS: I will deal with it in future in more detail ...
