    Hi !

The DVD player of my DELL XPS M1530 makes some noisy vibrations when running some DVDs (does not happen with all the DVDs).

DVD players usually make vibrations and noises while running some CDs or DVDs, that is something normal but the noise that mine does seems a bit noisy to me. Like a piece of plastic hitting another one because of the vibrations, that kind of noise.

I do not think there is anything to be worried about but I prefer to know if I'm the only one for whom that kind of things happens.

    Thanks in advance

Some dvds are not perfectly round or the center is slightly off which can cause it to wobble at high speeds. This is likely the case as you said some do it and others dont.

Couldn't it be because of some assembling imperfections on my computer ?

I've seen this in many CD/DVD players. The faster they spin the more likely it will happen.

Like Nizzy said, uneven disk will cause this. If it was will all disks then yes it could be a defective drive.

    Sounds fine to me.
    How should I say it ? :)

I just changed the disk rotation speed at the lowest one. Works fine and the emission noise has naturally been a bit diminished.

Not that important though but I just wanted some differents opinions about it.

    Thanks for the help. :)
