When I checked the original specs for my m1710 which I bought from ebay and transfered ownership to me with 2 months complete care warranty, I dont have the original dvd -/+ rw drive which is (UD037 Module, DVD+/-RW..., NEC Corporation, Inspiron Sullivan/Tobago
1 UC823 Assembly, DVD+/-RW..., 8X Integrated Drive Electronics Nec Corporation, Inspiron). I went into the device manager and it says I have TSSTcorp dvd+-rw ts-L632D. Will this void the complete care warranty or not? What if I accidently droped it and it wont turn on and I have to return it to dell, will they check the dvd rw if its the original one? And, how do I know if Dell replaced the dvd rw before?

They're not going to care about the brand of the DVD drive. However, if they find damage from removal/installation of a new DVD drive, then yes, they can void the warranty.
