Is it dead (black or white) or just stuck (RGB)? There are methods for removing stuck pixels, not dead. Gentle screen tapping/rubbing/pressure application... RGB flashing application... That kind of thing. None have ever worked for me, though.

Beyond that, it's not really any electronics manufacturer's policy to do anything about a single defective pixel, but if you play it up like the display is bad enough and that you're very unhappy with it, they might just send a tech to replace it without really asking any questions, since it's new.

can't tell. it just looks dark against any light backgrounds. It's annoying because it's right in the middle and against a white background it kind of looks like a droplet of liquid.

Push at it with your thumb firmly, but not like you want to kill it.

Worked for me for a stuck pixel on a Lenovo model.

You have a brand new lappy which you paid good money for and you have Pixel issues? If it were me I would be contacting Dell for a new replacement, you are entitled to that.

Or, you can have them send a Tech out to fix (do you have CC w/onsite)?

I just wouldn't be feeling very happy with a new lappy and screen issues already. As, the screen is what you are looking 99.9% of the time...Just my opinion. :)

Dell tech left a couple of hours ago. It took 10 minutes to replace the screen. Dell offered to have the lappy replaced but I chose to have the tech do it.
