I'm still new to computer terms so I wanted to know for a M1330, as a university student, I'm only gonna do stuff like Office and maybe a couple chemistry programs. But between 2.4 GHz and 2.0, am I gonna see a lotta difference in speed?

There's an offer right now for Dell Summer saving so that there's 4 GB RAM offered and with a 250 GB (5400 RPM) hard drive. I originally planned for 2.4 GHz, but due to budget, I was starting to think about the 2.0GHz.

I think that unless you are doing gaming or other intensive programs that you wouldn't notice too much of a difference in things like Office, Firefox, etc. In fact, at 2.0 Ghz I think that would be plenty to make it so that your bottleneck would be most likely your GPU and that the extra 400 Mhz processor wouldn't do you much good. Just my $0.02...

If you plan to use the laptop for 2 years or so, it is better to get the 2.4 GHz option. Is it a T8300 vs T7250?

If you don't plan on using any CPU intensive applications (multi-tasking does not count as cpu intensive), a 2 GHz C2D will be more than enough, even 2 years from now.
