Got my 1530 yesterday :D and it's a sweet machine..
Have one prob though... I can't have all my data in C: (200 GB!!) and I can't create another partition because of the already present 4 partitions :( .
Is it advisable to delete the recovery partition D: (using the delete option when right clicked on the drive icon) and the merge that space into C: drive using a third party tool?? Which tool would be best??
    Thnx in advance..

Not unless you have some way of restoring your system if **** hits the fan. As far as deleting and merging it, that can be done under computer management ( type in 'computer management' in the start menu )

since its a new machine you have, I would personally recommend having the recovery partition on hand for a while.. and get an ext HDD for backup.. in any case having a complete backup is always handy.

So it's a plain delete and merge operation thru windows computer management right??
Is there anything else I need to be careful of??

I don't find the merge option in Computer Management and the 10 GB space remains unallocated :( . When I try to shrink the C: drive it says access denied( I'm in the admin account). Can any 3rd party tool help??

You can not merge partitions in Vista with this Utility. If your 2nd partition is empty, you can delete the 2nd partition and then extend the 1st partition, to use the freed up space. Also note that you can extend only to the right; if you are desirous of extending the partition to the left, you may have to use a 3rd party utility, like Acronis.

most probably ur OS partition comes before the recovery partition, so no deal for u.. get acronis i guess
