I have this vision of your apartment office staff messing around with your new laptop just waiting for you to get home
I bet they're having a great time!
Only joking mate
I know how exciting it is to finally get that sealed DELL shipping box in your hands!
Enjoy it -

Let's hope the office doesn't close at 5PM. LOL

Well... you are lucky that they left it at the apartment complex's office. The DHL guy serving our area just drops things at the door and leave without putting any notes or knocking on the door.
Are you going to have an unboxing video similar to this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eyg_yJrqxw -
I thought about it while my 1530 was being made, but once it finally arrived, i was like scr*w it, I want this thing open, and fast... LOL

Hi all, new to the forum here. Jugzwei, did it shipped before, on, or after the Estimated Ship Date? I ordered my M1530 on 8/30/08 and have an estimated ship date of 9/17/08 which is in two days. I can't wait till mines come in. It'll be a superior upgrade from my Inspiron 6000, Pentium M 760 (Single Core 2.0Ghz, 533Mhz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache), and ATI Radeon X300 128mb. I bought that laptop right before the Duo Core's came out (and boy was I mad, haha). Here's what I ordered on my upcoming M1530:
-Tuxedo Black
-P9300 (2.5GHz, 800Mhz FSB, 6MB L2 Cache)
-WXGA+ LED Screen
-Nvidia 8600m GT 256MB
-2GB RAM (cheaper to upgrade elsewhere)
-250GB 5400RPM Harddrive (Already ordered a Seagate Momentus 320GB 7200RPM with FFS from Buy.com for $104, the 250GB will go in my PS3)
- Standared DVD+/-RW Drive
- Intel 4965 Wireless-N
- Dell 355 Bluetooth (For my Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 (Dongles suck))
- 6-Cell Battery -
Hey loman. Mine was ordered 9/2/08 with a scheduled ship date of 9/17 it shipped on the 11th.
yours might have been delayed because of the led screen -
Congrat's on your order...your ESD is like 2 days away..ESD's are usually overprojected..Call Customer Care when they are open for business on Tuesday...and ask them what stage it's in, they can tell you this..Or, continue checking the Automated line or via online order status!!!!I'm sure soon, you will have yours in your hands also!
Where is it sitting right now? The build stage? Testing?? (If you have checked)
Cin -
Thanks! All it states in the Dell site is "In Production." How would I know What exact stage it is in? I remembered ordering my Inspiron 6000, but I wasn't this excited waiting for it that I check it daily to see the status. The 30% XPS deal, I just can't pass it up!

Tomorrow morning when open for business, just give Dell a holla', and ask for them to advise where you are in the production stage!
That 30% off deal was a fantastic offer!
Good luck, and let us know what the latest is
Cin -
Thanks for the link, I'll give Dell a call tomorrow and see where they are in the "In Production" stage.
-
*fingers crossed*
Cin -
Just called Dell's Automated Status Check line and it's currently in the "Boxing Stage." I suppose it's on track and it'll be shipped out soon. Thanks Cin' for the info, I feel a lot better knowing it's at least built and loaded up. I read some peoples' systems are being delayed until mid October!
Jugzwei, sorry, I didn't intend to steal your thread. This thread is your SPOTLIGHT! -
Just remember when you make your "I got my 1530" thread I have the right to hijack it! lol -
) And, no prob's on the info!
I hope it comes very soon!
Cin -
