Hi, new to the forum, glad i found it though.
Ordered mine 10th Oct and delivery is 16th Nov, is everyone having this long wait?
UK by the way.
-
-
8th Oct and 12th Nov - Germany
-
Ordered 10/14 and expected on 11/13 in the U.S...
-
Aus, ordered on the 16th, due 9/11
-
I ordered from the Microsoft Store:
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store...-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.326871600
It said that it would ship on Oct 26th, but since the Dell website says they don't ship until mid-Nov I'm worried that the date MS says is wrong. -
Same here. The sales rep at the Microsoft store said it would ship before the 26th but I'm not sure. Maybe the wait time is less for the U.S.
-
From what everybody Else is saying, the tracking states "in pre-production" for all.
So doesn't look good for the 26th. -
Ordered 10/9, delivery by 11/13
-
By the latest 2/11
-
MS Store? Are you just going off of the website date or did you talk with a rep? I don't find the MS store date to be reliable, they originally quoted 10/26.
-
Ordered the 1080p version thru Dell (US) on 10/23, Estimated Delivery 11/17. Status shows in Production.
On the website the 1080p version ships in 10-13 days and the 4k version ships in 20-24 days. -
Well the model I ordered like 4 days ago showed 20-24 days when I ordered but now it shows 10-13 days. So it would seem to me we're close.
-
Read above from Dell. Aus I think we'll be the first to get them - they have just cleared customs now on the way to the local carrier
-
But then again, this is the same sales advisor that promised me at least 4 times that my XPS 15 would be delivered by the 24th of October..
-
Ordered mine on the 17th October, with the build being completed 2 days ago.
Seem to speed up greatly after I called them to say hurry up after a long wait with a botched Alienware order that had me waiting forever, the XPS is meant to have gone high priority. How much truth in high priority is needed to be seen, as I often hear people on the forums that dell phone reps just trained to say that to make the customer feel better, and no actual action.
At this stage has shipped from the factory and just waiting for it to pass through the normal channels for it to arrive. Really hoping for this Friday, as no delivery during weekends. Failing that will have it in first couple of days of next week -
Oh wow, so your order already shows "Shipped" online?
-
Mine is also showing in the "post production" stage. From what I am told, where the online status has 3 "stages", pre-production, in production, and shipped, the actual Dell stages consists of more stages. The "in production" stage also includes the part where the system is being transported to the US (or other destination country) and is not considered "shipped" until it clears customs.
I suspect that some people will be getting theirs by the end of this week. -
Can you detail what was exactly on your order? I ordered mine on 10/10/15 and still in pre-production and has a delivery of 11/10/15.....Why are of your orders almost finished and mine in pre-production? Do you order something with bare bones config? My order was everything top of the line, except a TB SSD.
Looking forward to getting mine..I already bought an HP 6th gen laptop and the highest config of the Microsoft Surface Book -
I ordered the i7, 1080p, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD configuration.
Like T2050, my ordered may have been "escalated"... I had emailed a sales rep due the coupon code I had used on a previously cancelled order was not working. He provided a replacement code and offered to expedite the order. I'm still not sure he did anything as other reps have found no mention of an expedite or anything on my order. -
Maybe because I ordered it with the touch 15.6" 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge touch screen, is the reason.
-
For what it's worth, it's not uncommon at all for a new model Dell laptop to take 4-6 weeks to create & deliver during launch.
-
My order has been updated to SHIPPED! No tracking number yet, but this is a good sign.
Dave12123!! and stackPointer2.0 like this. -
Strange that they didn't update the delivery date. It won't be shipping for 3 weeks I guess
-
congratulations! when your order was placed? my estimate is 11/20....lol
-
I ordered on 10/8.
-
My order has a few extra stages, with the current stage being 2 days gone, so real soon it going to move to the next stage.
So I would think the other one above shipped would be similar to mine, although few stages rolled into one at the end.
I know soon as mine go to In transit, then it is about 2 days away.

Order date: 14/10/2015
Estimated delivery date: 12/11/2015
From UK. Got pretty good offer - £1412.00 for BNX5503 (instead of £1549.00 + £XX for Win10 Pro - basically the same as CNX5503, but with Win10 Pro and 1Yr ProSupport NBD warranty - i7-6700HQ, 4K Ultra HD InfinityEdge Touch, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 84 Whr battery). -
A bit peed off now -
Order date: 10/10/2015
Estimated delivery date: 16/11/2015 ???????
Same CNX5503 without your free stuff though.
Still showing as pre-production -
While this was a possibility, i'm glad its not the case. My tracking info finally updated and it's scheduled to be delivered on Thursday (2 day shipping).
-
Great! Keep us posted.
-
Lucky you.. I do hope that you will post a complete review.
-
My delivery dates slipped from 16th Nov to.........Cancelled
Hell of a parts delay!! -
Why????
-
They don't have the parts to build the things yet so cancelling orders and hope you reorder to get the Dec delivery.
Pro outfit Dell...... -
My order has just move to "In Transit" which means it is about 2 days away, hoping that arrives on Friday, as no delivery over the weekend.
Next stage after "In Transit" which details also says "Arrived in Main Hub", is "With Local Carrier". Once get to that stage, will be overnight.

Since almost all of us are either facing delays or had our orders cancelled, hopefully someone here can give us some reasonable reviews. It is still very weird to me that Dell has not lifted the review embargo.
-
I am think about doing a user review, such like I have done with HP laptops in the past. I would be opening it up unfortunately as I have it spec to my liking, and will only do so when I upgrade the SSD (want to change this in the short term cause it is only 256GB) and the RAM one day in the future. All depends if I get it before Friday or not.
-
This morning mine was cancelled as well...
The best of all, my sales agent still insists that it will be delivered early!
-
High chance my 4K will arrive tomorrow, has a tracking number and local carrier is usually overnight where I live, which is states as overnight on the courier company ticket

I just got info from Dell Poland that my order will probably get delayed, but they don't get a response from factory lately (lol) so they can't give me specific dates.
I wish I was one of the guys waiting for delivery! -
Which version did you pick and what is the estimated delivery date?
-
i7 / 4k / HDD
estimated delivery date: 17.11
Update:
Now my order got cancelled as well. Just great...Last edited: Oct 29, 2015 -
Ordered my laptop Oct. 9 and its still preprod ... with estimate 11/12 ... is that normal? thats like 2 weeks away with no progress
-
Mine (i7/256gb SSD/8gb/1080p) was ordered on October 22nd and I just received it about 30 seconds ago.
-
Please post some pictures. Thanks
.

What really grinds my gears is that you can order this right now, get some discount from a rep, and you will get it sooner (and cheaper) then if you preordered this early October. Mine is from Oct 10, US, shows still in pre-production with ETA Nov 17th, while other are posting here who ordered later and are in later stages (or even got it already). If I ordered this today the ETA would be Nov 13. How does it even make sense.
-
Ordered mine (Dell XPS 15 + USBc to Ethernet adapter) on 21th of October.
It was canceled and reordered by Dell production on the 29th of October due to incompatibility of configuration.
That confused me alot, but there was no delay in delivery. Delivery date is still 19th of november.
It left production today and is now on the way from China to Germany. I hope it will arrive earlier.
Does anyone know, when the notebook sleeve "Dell Premier (M)" will be available?
This one is listed under accessories for the new Dell.Last edited: Nov 3, 2015 -
This makes me SO ANGRY!!! Ordered mine on October 10th. i7/4K/16GB/256SSD. Just changed to "In Production" status yesterday. Estimated delivery 11/12
What the hell Dell???? You are not even honoring the order of when these were placed? GAHHHHHH -
If I were you I'd just cancel and order from Microsoft store. You'd get it this Friday. Dell messed up this whole pre-order deal big time, they fulfill current orders while old ones are in limbo. Mine is still in pre-production, since Oct 10. After arguing with them they gave me next day shipping and $100 off, that's the only reason I didn't cancel yet. I want the FHD screen so I can't get it from elsewhere.

UK model. 4k/16gb/512gb/84WHr. Ordered 5 Nov. Estimated delivery date 18 Dec. That's six weeks. Wow. Cousins Furniture turn around sofas quicker than that! In pre-production at the moment (of course)
Hopefully though, it also means the the ever growing list of niggles that crop up in the forums here will be ironed out by the time they get to build mine. eg. coil whine, substandard keyboard (esp. space bar), audio issues
