    Hi,

    I am using Dell studio xps 1647 for 1.5 yeras.. this morning when i woke up i turn on my laptop.. i noticed that the touch sensitive media buttons above the keyboard was not working..I restarted several times but nothing helps...still it is not working...even the lights are gone... if anyone knows or has any ideas for a solution it would be great.. thanks!

    Try taking the media button panel off and re-seating the ribbon cable

    Do the media buttons "turn on" when you are in hte BIOS?

    I remember reading that somebody recommended uninstalling and re-installing the Quickset drivers. I don't know if it's the exact same issue, but it worked for a few other members.
