First im sorry if my english isnt perfect.

So i whent from win7 build 7068 to build 7100 and i found that my computer cant run games that wel anymore.

Tryed most of the drivers i can find, inkluded from nvidia and dell.com.
My GPU is 9500M GS (GF 9200MGS + GF 9400MG) and windows performance information gameing graphics are just 4,8 now. games like Left 4 Dead are almost imposible to play now.

So i could use some help over here, any tips on what drivers i should use or if there is some way to "tweak" my computer back up to the performance i had before?

You should try the DOX optimised 185.68. Is it a new install or upgrade?

Fresh install. wil try the driver you reconmended. you have a site i can download it from? at work atm and most of the sites are locked for me. kinda strange that i can open this site tbh.

no problem if you dont have the site, can google it when i come home.

what should i aim for in windows performance information gameing graphics? think i had 5,4 or something whit the older build but cant be sure since i have installed win 7 on alot of computers lately and not 100% sure if i checked the score on my own whit the old build. but i do know that left 4 dead is not running like it should.

    Thanks for the reply.

hmm. since the 2 dirvers i was toled to try here didnt work i tryed the one i windows update told me to install.

    it was kinda intresting.

    3D mark06 scores:
    Drivers from Dell: 2109
    Drivers from Win Update: 3492

kinda nice jump in the score, havent tested the new drivers for real yet, didnt even think about that windows update had GPU driver. But one other thing struck me.

I downloaded NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce 9400M G (prerelease - WDDM 1.1) from the windows update and installed it, but then i was toled that i also should download this GPU driver:
NVIDIA driver update for NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS (prerelease - WDDM 1.1) but that only get failed. if im not 100% wrong my laptop uses a SLI GPU, and that whould be the reason i "need" 2 gpu drivers. but why cant i download it?

i get this Error Code: 80070103 windows update encountered an unkown error.

Why do it always have to be unknows errors whit microsoft?

could anyone help me whit this one or should i ask in another section of the forum?

I wouldn't worry about the other driver. ~3500 is what you should get in 3Dmark with Hybrid SLI turned on, and ~2000 is what you should get with it turned off.. It would seem that the dell drivers do not yet support Hybrid SLI in Windows 7 (No surprises).

I suggest you just check in device manager to see what it shows under 'Display Adapters'

Okay, the two drivers mentioned in this thread don't work for our laptop, the DOX ones don't support hybrid sli yet, and the other said it could not find supported hardware. So I tried the 179.48 drivers from nVidia as mentioned on this thread
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=352547

I haven't tried an 3dmark yet but my frames in Left 4 Dead are about double what i was getting before. You need to get the modified inf to run this driver. Which you can find here

    have both:
    NVIDIA GeForce 9500 (GF 9200MGS + GF 9400MG)
    and
    NVIDIA GeForce 9200 (GF 9400MG + GF 9200MGS)

so i guess thats "all" i can get out out of my computer and its only a "bug" that windows update whants me to install another gpu driver?

Obviously newer drivers will bring increased SLI performance to the table. You just have to be patient for Windows 7 to be released and the official drivers to start rolling out.
