    Hi

I have only had my XPS 1 year and 5 months, is it usual for the battery to be running out already? (I haven't been gaming much).

Which battery do you have the 6C or 9C?

I noticed that my 6C is running down a tad. I've had my 1530 for a year now.

How do you tell which one you have 6C or 9C?

The 9 cell is elevated, here is a pic:

The 6 cell sits flat, and is smaller.

    Here is the 6 cell:

If it doesn't elevate the back of your lappy, then its the 6 cell. It lies flush.

On the back of the battery, top left.

There is a meter on the 6 cell. If you touch it...it will give you the level of *juice* left in the battery.

Here is a good free application if you want to run:
    Vista Battery Saver:

    Are you running Vista?
