I placed my order a few days ago and I saw the amount pending on my checking acct by checking online, but now it's gone. I checked my email and it said transactions would be finalized when shipped.

Is this normal protocol? Seems kinda weird that they bill me, withdraw it, and then will bill again.

They probably just did an authorization to make sure it was a valid account with money in it before they bother to start building it but then they don't actually take the money out until they ship it so you don't get pissed that they have your money while you wait a month for your computer. I never do anything online with my checking account but I have seen this lots of times with credit cards.
