The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    For those of you who don't know about it, you can post ideas at IdeaStorm |, and at the very least someone from Dell will read it.

    The odds are the idea will never become a reality, but we can try. Perhaps as a community we can influence the current and future Dell laptop models.

    So if anyone posts an idea to ideastorm or sees a good one already posted, feel free to link to it here.

    Here's an idea I just posted, I remember reading about the topic somewhere on these forums:

    Ports at the back. Ports at the back.

    Of course will mean a redesign of the barrel hinge system. Which was sucky in the first place as this blocks the vents.
