Got a new Dell OEM battery off your favorite online auction and the machine does not recognize it.
I followed the standard procedure for getting it recognized.

The machine now boots with the power cord plugged in and says nothing about hit F1 to continue.
And once booted up, says the battery is 100% charged, which it is.

However, once I pull out the power cord, the machine immediately shuts down. Nor does it boot without the power cord. I have an older battery that still works.
