Does anybody know how well is the video playback on the Dell m1210, I am thinking about buying a used one and wondering if it can handle 1080p MKV files.

I am aware of the different CPU and GPU, so please tell what version you have. Also I heard that these laptops have overheating issues?

Yeah it can handle 1080 MKVs, its all on that cpu which one do you have 1.83 or 2.33? Man that thing was so powerful back in its day. The most percentage of power that will be used is 30-40 percent.

    Update:

So I ended up buying a used M1210 recently for a very good price. It has a T7200 2.0ghz, 2.5 gb ram, 64 mb Go Geforce card. So I decided to do some tests. It plays 1080p MKV files perfectly with CCCP installed. I also recommend downloading the latest video card drivers and DirectX.
