Guys,
I am hoping someone can point me to a driver to get me out of trouble. Have tried a few and spent plenty of time rebooting in safe mode to roll back.
I have a M1330 and have installed XP on it. It has been running a dream for 8 months but I have just hit a snag. I need to run FSX on it to do some development stuff (don't need the frame rates) and I need directX 9c support for it and can't find a graphics driver that will work. I have the NVidia GeForce 8400M GS with 256 MB Ram (128 dedicated ?) but in the direct X dialogue the ram is not recognised and directdraw is disabled.
I have a recently replaced MB and latest Dell Bios.
Any clues on what drivers any of you are using would be appreciated.
regards
PatrickF

try a newer driver, that is already patched to work for mobile graphics cards.
you will find those drivers at www.laptopvideo2go.com . read their instructions. you will have to download the driver and additionaly the modded inf file for the driver. unpack the driver and replace the original *.inf-file with the modded one. after that you are good to install the driver. -
or try the ones direct from nvidia. make sure you download direct x 9 redist from microsoft
Dell M1330 with XP - graphics drivers for dx 9 ?
