Hey Everybody, I have a T9500 on it's way here and I'd like to be able to get the VT extension to work in the bios. Now I have the most recent A12 bios that came with my laptop but it doesn't have a spot for VT/Virtualization Technology anywhere in it.
I found a few posts on the net saying that A08 has VT as an option in the bios but I don't understand why a newer bios(A12) doesn't have it.
So my m1530 is 99% factory besides the HDD that I removed from it and put in a Seagate Momentus XT.
I tried to run the A08 software to install it within windows and get the following error:
This bios does not support the level of hardware in this system
Could the hard drive be causing this error?
I made a bootable USB drive and tried to run the file from DOS and same error.
Any suggestions on how to get VT on here???
thank you

Now let me also say, I am running the T6600 CPU right now, the T9500 is going to be delivered hopefully tomorrow.
From what it seems like, some people report that the A12 should have virtualization under Post Behaviour.
Anybody with a VT enabled processor and with the A12 bios, can they confirm this? Maybe it doesn't show up for me at this time because my T6600 doesn't have the VT extension?
Suggestions/ideas?
Dell M1530, no VT virtualization in BIOS
