i was wondering if anyone has the dell m1730 can run some benchmarks.

it doesn't matter if it is stocked overclocked or whatever.

just post up your system specs and if you are overclocked (if so please state your clocks if you do not wish to give out your clocks, just say ""max overclock")

if you don't know what to benchmark, here's some stuff you can do.

also can you please tell us your settings on the game when you run it.

i have been searching but it's dead and the owner's lounge is way to big to search every page. it doesn't matter what gpu/cpu you have. as long as you state what you have.

    thanks everyone.

also can you provide a screen shot of hwmoniter if you can if not then it's cool....

Prior to sending back my M1730 (failing and they were replacing it), I was able to push it to a score of 11804 - 3DMark06. I didn't get around to running a Vantage score - at least not one where I saved the results.

    3DMark Score 11804 3DMarks
    SM 2.0 Score 5051
    SM 3.0 Score 6527
    CPU Score 2309

    Compare Link:
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11654173

    Sys Specs:
    T9300, 4GB DDR2 667, PhysX disabled, 8800M GTX SLI @ 651/950/cant remember what I had the shaders at. :(

Benched mine quite a while ago:

    3dmark 06
11622 with 185.88 drivers, without any overclocks.

    3dMark06:
    Score: 11,943
    Shader Model 2.0 Score: 5k
    Shader Model 3.0 Score: 7k

    Specification:
    Core 2 Duo T9500 @ 2.6 GHz
    8800m GTX SLi (Stock clocks)
    4GB DDR2
    Ageia PhysX (Disabled)

I highly recommend the system, but get the X9000 CPU and run it overclocked at 3.2 GHz and above, this will make your system fans will run full blast and those cards will remain nice and cool.

When posting images, either post links with thumbnails or straight links. Posting large images throws off the forum and users end up scrolling.

    Thanks.

^^ Fixed my post. I managed to create 250px thumbnails, display them as images and re-linked them as links to original sized ones. So it becomes a "Click to enlarge" feature. Gotta take advantage of BBCode. :)

For the code, you need to have a thumbnail preview, say 250px of the original image, wrap the 250px thumbnail .jpg with the tag.
Then, highlight the entire thumbnail URL including the wrapped [IMG] tag then select "Insert Link" and link it to the original jpg/png size. It will work. :)

Here is what it will look like:
    [html][url="http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p319/SomeFormOFhuman/X9000stock.png"]

As for the M1730, well I do not have DMC4, but I have FC2, and I got a fluctuating FPS of lowest 40, highest 60 fps roughly averaging 50+ fps with Vsync turned on, 1920x1200 and all at Ultra High settings. No AA however.

nice. i like what i'm seeing with fc2. i don't want to talk about my other notebooks and what i scored but it's does seem like the m1730 has plenty of life in it. regardless of the dual vs quad issue.

Im running an intel t8300 2.4mhz, 4gb ram and sli geforce 9800m GT, running on vista 64bit,

    I got a 3d mark 06 score of 10224, running on driver 186.81

I might upgrade to the x9000 in 6 months time. With the i7 out the prices have dropped abit, Those x9000results are impressive

I score 11124 with my XPS M1730 in sig in Windows XP SP3. Far Cry 2 runs smoothly on the XPS M1730 so no trouble with that.

My best score is in my sig.

Out of the box and with the original drivers it would get 11600's.

The CPU is the bottleneck so oc'ing is worth 400 marks. meh.
