Hey guys, my first post here though ive been watching the forum for weeks. Got a bit of a story and wondering if anyone has any advice.
Ordered XPS 15 from the web 19th March. Got annoyed as i wanted the backlit keyboard. Spoke to their customer service 21st March and got passed to sales where the guy cancelled my web order and put through a new order for the exact same laptop but with the backlit keyboard.
22nd the order was cancelled by Dell. Found out they missed out the design and the backlit keyboard. Order was rebooked.
24th Order was cancelled, they have put through the order but missed out what design it was meant to have. Rebooked
Order cancelled 25th - My card declined. Spoke to my bank who tell me they didn't try my card and they didnt give any decline out. By this point i was crying to customer service and to sales team.
Order was rebooked 1st Apr around 3pm. I found this order cancelled at 5pm when i got home from work. Even now i dont know what it was cancelled.
Monday 4th i had my Business account manager email the customer service girl i was speaking to. Still nothing back. I reordered the laptop myself from the web. Yeah i know im impatient. An hour later the customer service woman calls and has rebooked the previous order i had, discussed it and promised there would be no more problems and she'd have my web order cancelled. She was going to add me to the priority list to try and speed up the process.
And thats where im at.

Ive went down from the 6230 Wifi to the 1020. What difference will that have made?
Should i expect it sooner than the 22/4 or am i going to be waiting. Ive never had to wait for more than a month for any IT order before and i do make quite a few orders.

Just order them online. Don't bother talking with them over the phone. I had bad experience ordering by chatline and then continue with phone. They wanted so many details and my delivery date past and only got my order 2 weeks late.
One other thing is all the transactions I made either by chatline or on the phone are all answered or dealt with by Indians. Is all this done in India and not in the country where you order this from? This is not helping because they apparently don't know exactly what I have ordered and they made me wait for minutes and only told that they are going to pass me from one helpline to another and at the end problem was not solve.
