I'm looking to extend the warranty on the Studio 1558 which I purchased last week from Dell Outlet.

    The specs are:

    Studio 1558
    i5-430m processor
    ATI 545v 512mb graphics
    500gb hard drive
    4gb RAM

The cost of the laptop was roughly £400.

How much do you think it would cost (should I negotiate with them) to extend the warranty to 3/4 years?

I've just realised I've posted in the wrong thread, so I'd appreciate it if a Mod can relocate it

Give them a call! I can't imagine it being too much if your laptop costed £400... I'd guess at 4 years it would be £100-150 maybe?

Best thing to do is just give them a call! :)

I've given them a call, but each agent I speak to is offering it to me at a different price, ranging from £150-£180.

The reason why I'm asking is that I might try to haggle with them, but I would like to know roughly how much I should try and go for.

Well £150 sounds reasonable for 4 years, in my opinion!
