    Dell Outlet UK Problem ???

    Ok, The money has been taken out of my account for my order, and I still havent received a 2nd confirmation email.

    I managed to get my customer number and order number, and when I go to order status it says its in phase 2:

    Phase 2 Pre-Production Your order is in this phase.
    Pre-Production time varies and may take up to 14 days.
    The Estimated Delivery Date (shown above) includes the Pre-Production time for your order.

    Then after that it says phase 3 which is production.

    My ESD is 30th july 08

    I thought it didnt have to do these stages as it was all ready built. Can anyone confirm, what phase were you in? What was it like for you?

    You just need to wait until Dell builds your PC. It is not pre-built and it goes through all the 5 phases that is mentioned in your order status page.

    Since Dell offers the customization option to its customers, it might be a reason why it does build it from scratch.

    You will receive your order well before the EDS and thats how I got mine. Not to worry.

    Just chill and enjoy working on your Dell when it arrives. Cheers!

    I think he was worrying because on the DEll Outlet site it says the machines are customer returns etc, so wouldn't they already be built?

    I couldn't sell dell taking them all apart and them building them up again when an order is placed?!?

    My order is now in phase 4 - Delivery preparation.

    How long did this phase take for you ? It says it can take up to 8 days.

    At 6pm My order changed to shipped by WWI.

    Says i have to wait 24 hours for tracking number.
    Who is WWI? When should it arrive ?

    Walsh Western International. They handle a lot of the UK shipping for Dell.

    Is there anyway to find out what delivery courier will be delivering my laptop to me ? citylink? dhl etc?

    the 1530 i got from outlet also went through the phases like you mentioned. i got it about a week before the eta and it seems to me to be in mint condition. no scratches or anyhting i can see

    Hmm, my Dell outlet order now shows as "cancelled" when I check on the site, but I haven't had any emails about this!

    But I did email them today to say that they had missed the house name off my delivery address.

    Is this perhaps why my order was cancelled? Is there any way I can get it reinstated? It was a total bargain of an XPS M1330 I had ordered...

    When I ordered mine it was a hassle from the start - however they did deliver it a week before the estimate.

    Mine came via T.N.T

    Also I eventually got my order number - dell financials pin in the post today - took them 2 weeks to get them to me.

    However I absolutely love this laptop - best £532 I have ever spent!!!
